2020 Annual Meeting Recap

2020 Annual Meeting Recap

THANK YOU to all our friends, supporters, and sponsors who came out on March 12th, before things felt quite so dire, for the Land Trust’s 2020 Annual Meeting!

While practicing elbow-bumps and social-distance measures, we celebrated a memorable year, new conservation easements, our special guests from the SC Conservation Bank, and our special honoree for the Peggy Adams Conservation Award, Rossie Lamar Corwon.

Hope you enjoy these pictures from Shannon Hill and David Hays.

Guest speaker Raleigh West, Director of the SC Conservation Bank, shares his perspectives on conserving our rural and natural piedmont lands while we still can.

Wade Harrison (left) recognized and honored our 2019 conservation easement donors… Curtis Tuten (blue jacket) with his son Bill (365 acres in Saluda County), and further to the right are Peggy and B Adams whose 2019 easement donation (157 acres in Greenwood County) put the Land Trust over 50,000 acres. Not pictured: 2019 easement donor William P. Crawford, 225 acres in Laurens County.

Land Trust boardmember Brad Thompson presents the 2020 Peggy Adams Conservation Award to 2015-2020 Board President Rossie Lamar Corwon.

Peggy Adams congratulates Rossie Lamar Corwon for winning her namesake award!
