4th Annual Clayshoot In the Books!

You might be looking ahead to the Holidays but we are still enjoying the glow of last month’s 4th Annual Sporting Clays for Conservation, our fall fundraising event in Edgefield. With 11 teams and some great raffle prizes, we exceeded our fundraising goal, and had fun doing it. It was a beautiful day to be together, to be outside, and to appreciate and celebrate the fields and forests we love.

They say that Sporting Clays is “golf with a shotgun,” so it’s fitting that we honor the team from Boscobel Golf Club in Pendleton SC as the winner of the team competition! The overall champion shooter was Matthew Hilley, whose team, the Sanders Wealth Sandbaggers, took second place, ahead of the guys from Team “So Close!” who were so close behind in 3rd place.

Mark your calendars for next year’s event, back at the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Palmetto Shooting Complex in Edgefield SC, on Friday October 28th, 2022. In the meantime, watch this space for news on our land conservation progress.
