Guest Speaker – Joshua Manley
Superintendent of the Ninety Six National Historic Site
Joshua Manley will share the latest news on what’s happening at Ninety Six National Historic Site, speaking to its known history, as well as its importance in the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. He will focus on both current and future efforts to highlight untold stories of the site, and will review its abundant natural resource and outdoor/recreational related opportunities, and how volunteers and organizations like ours can get involved and collaborate to further our common goals, to get involved in the 250th activities, and to positively impact the community. A U.S. Army combat veteran, Joshua began his National Park Service career in 2014, and was named Superintendent at Ninety Six in 2021. Previously he served various National Park units in Western Pennsylvania, and as a fire management and communications specialist for parks across the Eastern US. Originally from Franklin, Ohio, Joshua holds a BA in History from Miami University, where he focused on Colonial America and the Revolutionary War. He and his wife, Lucy, are both former college coaches that still enjoy coaching baseball and softball for their children, Max and Stella, and their respective teams. Joshua is also an avid bass fisherman; he and his family now live on Lake Greenwood.
